A huge shout out to our very own high school math teacher, Ian Fisher, for being nominated and officially recognized as the 2026 Sioux County Teacher of the Year! 🎉
This recognition reflects the passion, commitment, and impact he brings to our students every single day. From challenging students to think critically, building confidence in mathematics, and always pushing our learners and athletes to grow, Mr. Fisher continues to make a lasting difference at Solen Public School.
We are incredibly proud to have him represent Sioux County and our school community. Mr. Fisher will be honored at the North Dakota County Teachers of the Year recognition event on June 23 at the State Capitol in Bismarck.
Congratulations, Mr. Fisher—this honor is well deserved. Solen is proud of you! 🌟 #GoSioux #TeacherOfTheYear #SolenProud

Solen high school is proud of our recent graduation rates and our staff work hard to help students stay on track or complete credit recovery. We were all very excited today that our last student working on their graduation requirements has completed her testing and PASSED! We are proud of all our Seniors this year and look forward to graduation on May 22nd at 7 pm.

Thanks for a great Night Lights year!

Big day for Solen Track & Field at the Parshall Junior High Meet! With over 200 athletes registered, our four Sioux competitors rose to the occasion and all hit personal bests — here's how they did:
🥉 Hank Fast Horse — 3rd place in the discus. New personal best!
🏅 Pierceston Tikanye — 5th place in the shot put. New personal best!
⚡ Manny Shell Track — Top 10 in the 100m. New personal best!
⚡ Mia Iron Road — Personal bests in both the 100m and 200m!
Proud of every one of these athletes for representing Solen with everything they had.
Go Sioux! 🔵⚪

Join us for some snacks!

Just a reminder of our family night event tomorrow. We will also be taking new enrollments for the 2026-27 school year. Use the link below to view our 26-27 school year. We are trying something new next year with scattered early dismissals on Fridays throughout the school year. The purpose of the early dismissals are to adequately prepare for reading and math instruction for our students while still having school on Fridays which allows for transportation to school as well as still having breakfast and lunch on those school days. If you have any questions on next year or on the enrollment process, please come to the family event tomorrow night!

With many activities taking place this week at Wozu for Buffalo Days, we want to celebrate culture in the schools!

Good afternoon,
Today at Solen, the fire alarms were triggered which caused an evacuation. Students were outside for approximately 30 minutes while it was determined that it was safe for students and staff to re-enter the building. This occured during the 5th grade transition so the 5th graders were also in the building.
I am very proud of our students and staff for their behavior during this time. Everyone did an excellent job.
There was not an actual fire nor was there any damage to the building or campus. Once everyone entered the building the school resumed normal activity.
Thank you ,
Superintendent Kramer

"Who said you can't play with your food?"
Mrs. Ferguson's 2nd grade got to have a little fun with their Monday snack! Mary Jean came to talk about healthy eating and made a fun snack with the kids. Celery boats! The kiddos had a blast and many tried some new foods!

Pre-K had a busy April! They got to be builders and built bird houses with Ms. Laurie. And we got to hatch baby chicks in our classroom. We were lucky enough that a few of them even hatched while we were there to watch up close!!!

Pre-K Graduation will be on Friday, May 15th at 1:00pm!

For Staff appreciation week, all staff in the elementary got shirts that students and staff could sign!!
We are so grateful for every staff member and the amazing work they do!!

With pride and joy, we warmly invite everyone to witness the Recognition Rites and 8th Grade Completion Ceremony as we celebrate the achievements, growth, and success of our students. Join us as we honor their hard work and mark this meaningful milestone in their academic journey. ✨🎓

We are excited to welcome the upcoming 6th grade students to our building today!
