This post contains important back to school information. It's hard to believe summer is almost over. I hope you all had a great summer. Students, I hope you are ready to start a new school year. I know our staff is excited to see you all back in the building.
The calendar is attached to this post and you can also access it using the link below. I would like to highlight some important upcoming dates:
August 12 - Open House for all students & families from 3:30-5:00 at Cannon Ball Elementary. Please join us to say hi, meet new staff and learn about our upcoming school year. Supper will be served as well.
First Day of School - August 18th
Bus Routes - You can check in at the open house to see who your assigned driver is. We are still getting some new enrollments so final routes will not be available until the open house.
Infinite campus - We are moving to a new student information system. We will no longer be using Power School. Our new system is Infinite Campus. We will have parent portal information on this at the open house and at each school after that.
Upcoming days:

September 7 - No School
September 11 - No School
September 25 - 12:00 pm dismissal

🏐 High school volleyball
🏀 High school girls basketball

🏃 Elementary cross country (new program this year!)
Requirements for all positions:
• Valid driver's license (required, no exceptions)
• Meeting NDHSAA coaching certification guidelines
• Background check
Not certified yet? That doesn't rule you out. Give me a call and I'll walk you through what's needed.
High school volleyball begins August 17, so we're looking to fill that one quickly.
Community members are encouraged to apply — you do not have to work for the district. If you've ever thought about coaching, this is a good place to start.

🏐 Start Smart Solen-Cannonball Volleyball Camp — Wrap Up!
What a fantastic two days! A big thank you to coaches Julia and Halle Mattern for bringing the energy and making this camp something special. Our girls had a blast, learned a ton, and it's clear they love this game — so proud of every one of them! 🏐💙
The school van will be in the community shortly at around 9:50.

🏐 Start Smart Solen Cannonball Volleyball Camp — TOMORROW!
Athletes in grades K–12, come join us for a high-energy, skill-building volleyball camp right here at Cannonball Elementary School!

📍 Location: Cannonball Elementary School
