We will have a virtual day tomorrow, Thursday, January 22, 2026. Materials were sent home with students today. Teachers, counselors, and administrators will be available throughout the day should you need assistance.
Stay safe and warm.

Good afternoon families,
All junior high and high school students received work from their teachers today should there be a decision to have a virtual learning day in the next two days. Any student who was absent today will be given the work when they return to school. Students can email teachers with any questions regarding assignments. Please watch for updates from the district on any announcements and closures.
Stay warm,
**Good afternoon Cannonball Elementary parents and guardians,**
I hope you are all staying warm! ❄️
Your child will be bringing home **two virtual learning packets** as a precaution in case we need to cancel school due to winter weather. These packets would be used **only if there is no school on Thursday, January 22, and/or Friday, January 23**.
If school is canceled on either of those days, we ask that you take some time to work through the packets with your child and **return the completed packets to their classroom teacher**. If school is canceled and packets are not returned completed, your child will be marked **absent** for the day(s) missed.
If we **do have school**, everything will run as normal and the packets will **not be required**—though they are a great option for extra practice at home if you choose to use them.
Please feel free to reach out to the elementary school if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued support and partnership!
Stay warm and stay safe!

Good morning Solen Public School families,
With the extreme cold weather predicted for the next two days, we will be sending materials home with students for potential virtual days for Thursday and Friday. This does not mean the decision has been made to go virtual, we are just making sure we are prepared. A decision for tomorrow will be made this evening or early tomorrow morning.
As for today, weather and conditiions will be assessed throughout the morning and afternoon. Any changes to the school day will be communicated once decisions are made.
Thank you,
Ms. Kramer

Tomorrow, Monday 12th, Mrs. Cutting will be at the Solen High School in the afternoon to allow all girls the opportunity to look through the school's selection of dresses for Winter Formal. There is a $5 fee to borrow a dress, this is due to the school adding more than 30 dresses to the selection as well as the prospect of adding to the selection for Prom this Spring. Any students interested in borrowing a dress for the dance, please bring $5 to school tomorrow.
