Solen -Cannon Ball Families,
Please take a couple of minutes to read the attached letter. Communication between school and home is so important to the success of your children. When the school calls a parent or guardian it is because we are reaching out for support for the betterment of your child or because they are sick or something has happened that needs your immediate attention. We are asking for your cooperation in this matter.
Thank you for trusting us to educate your child.

Good morning high school families,

Grades 9-12 will be attending the 2026 Bismarck T4 Program on Thursday February 26th. The T4 Summit introduces students to workforce skills, needs, training, and networking with industry leaders around the state. Lunch will be provided for schools and facilitators, so no additional arrangements are needed.

As a reminder, all students and chaperones must wear regular pants (no pajamas, sweatpants, skirts, or shorts) and closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops). These safety requirements are in place to ensure students can safely participate in all sessions throughout the day. Students who do not meet the dress code requirements will not be permitted to participate in certain activities. Students will leave after breakfast and return at the end of the school day.

Today our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders traveled to Selfridge to compete in the Sioux County Spelling Bee. 🐝 They represented our school with confidence, focus, and pride. Most importantly, they gave their absolute best effort — and that’s what we value most. Competing takes courage, and our students showed it. We are proud of the way they carried themselves and the hard work they put in to get there. Great job, students! Keep striving, keep learning, and keep making us proud.

Today, POD and some Mass Media students visited North Dakota Supreme Court and had the opportunity to observe an oral argument. ⚖️ They were also able to have a conversation with Chief Justice Lisa Fair McEvers and Justice Douglas Bahr. 👩🏻‍⚖️👨🏻‍⚖️ Photo courtesy of ND Courts

Reminder: Tonight is the Winter Formal Dance for grades 5th-12th. Students are welcome to stay at the school after our Winter celebration and get ready, or they have the option to take a bus home to get ready. However, if they go home they will need to have their own transport back to the school. Entry fee for students is $2 and parents are welcome to come take pictures at no cost. After the dance has started, if a student leaves the building, there will be no re-entry allowed. No meal will be served, but concessions will be available during the dance.
