When the phone call system is used the phone number that will show up will show it is coming from Little Rock, Arkansas and typically begin with a 501 area code.

Due to the current road conditions, Solen -Cannon Ball schools will have a two hour late start. The plows are out as well so this should give our staff and buses adequate time and conditions for the commute to school. Please allow yourself enough time to get to your destination.

Mrs Becka’s reading groups celebrated November students of the month today. These students are great role models displaying positive behavior and participation!

Students in grades 6-12 this is for you!
During the month of December, for each day you are in school on time and for the full school day, your name will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift certificate. Any student who comes to school on time, is in attendance for the entire day and has no tardies will be entered into win a $50 gift card. Names will be drawn weekly for the $25 cards. Names will be drawn on December 19th for the $50 cards. All absences, excused or unexcused, count towards the incentive. We will start Monday, December 1.

December's Calendar for Night Lights. Remember that the dates are subject to change.
There are no Night Lights on Wednesdays or Fridays. Thursday, Dec. 11, is cancelled as it is the afternoon of the Christmas concert.

Tonight the Junior High Girls' Basketball team plays against Rock Creek at home. Come over to Solen High School at 5:00 to watch the game. GO LADY SIOUX!!!

Solen students attended Sitting Bull College's Sunday Academy program and learned about bees from an NDSU professor. They extracted live bees from pods and identified their stages.

Hurry and get over to Cannon Ball Elementary to watch the boys' basketball team play against Standing Rock at 4:30!!!

This week has been a week of adult learning opportunities for our board and staff. On Monday night our school board went through Superintendent Guardrail training with our Be Legendary coach. Today our schools did Active Shooter/Threat training with the North Dakota Safety Council. A lot of great and useful tools gained this week.

Learning to see the world in different sizes! The 7th graders are exploring scale drawings - understanding how enlargement and reduction work by applying ratios and proportions. Math isn't just numbers, it's a tool to resize reality!

Mrs. Becka's WIN group helped put finishing touches on our post for tonight's game basketball game. The Junior High Girls' Team will be playing at home in Solen against McLaughlin at 5:00. Come out and show your support for the girls!!!! GO LADY SIOUX!

Mrs. Ferguson wants to recognize some STAR students! Yesterday, the 2nd grade class took their quarterly STAR Reading and STAR Math test! Mr. Jaires Manning scored the highest in both subjects! Ms. Leah DeCouteau had an impressive growth of 80 points on her reading test! Mr. Rylan Pearson showed off his learning with a growth of 66 points on his math test! They each received a prize for their STAR work! All of 2nd grade got a special treat of popcorn for snack for everyone's hard work! Super proud!

BOYS BASKETBALL GAME TONIGHT! Home game for Cannon Ball Elementary vs McIntosh at 5:30. Come out to cheer for them!

Announcement for Junior High Girls Basketball (11/17)

Rock Creek is not able to play today, so we are rescheduling for a different date. That date will be communicated to families as soon as it is re-scheduled.

Reminder there is no school Wednesday, November 26 - Friday, November, 28, 2028 for the holiday break.
