Night Lights Program Information
Night Lights begins Monday, September 8, 2025. Sessions will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. Students will be placed in groups and assigned a specific day to attend.
A program calendar will also be posted on the school’s Facebook page. Night Lights follows the school calendar. If there are any changes or cancellations, families will be notified by note, Facebook post, or all-call.
During Night Lights, students will strengthen skills in reading, math, writing, and STEM through practice, enrichment, and support. Time may also be used to catch up on assignments or finish homework. A snack will be provided at 4:30, and students will be bused home at 4:45.
Participation is optional; however, if your child is enrolled, regular attendance is expected unless you notify the school that they are withdrawing from the program. Students whose behavior disrupts learning may be removed from Night Lights.
If your child has enrolled, here are the grade assignments. Each classroom teacher has a list of students enrolled and will help the students get to Night Lights. A list will go home with all Night Lights students. Please watch for it.

Pre-K has been busy exploring their new classroom and making new friends!! We had a great first week of school!
This is a reminder that on Friday, September 5, 2025 there is an early out. Cannon Ball Elementary School will dismiss at 12:45 pm and Solen High School will dismiss at 1 pm. Thank you.
We have been informed that the water will be turned off in Cannon Ball on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. We will have school that day. However, the schedule for Cannon Ball Elementary School will be modifed. Solen Junior-Senior High School will run as scheduled. CBE will start at the regular time. All elementary students will be served a sack lunch in their classrooms at 11:30 and buses will depart at 12 pm. There will be bottled water in each classroom for students and staff.
I would like to give a big shout out to our elementary administration and staff for working together to make the school day as regular as possible for our students. It's important that we do all we can to ensure that modifying our school day, or cancelling it altogether, is a last resort.

Just a heads up I will be sending two forms home with your Junior High or High School child today!
~Sports physical form. If your child has not done his/her sports physical for the upcoming sports seasons here is their chance! UND is so kindly coming down to perform free physicals for our Sioux athletes! Please get forms filled out and back to me (Mrs. H) at the front desk ASAP!
~IHS Dental form. IHS will be performing dental screenings for our students. If you would like your child to have this done please fill out the form and return to me ASAP!

CBES's after-school program, Night Lights, will start on Monday, Sept. 8. Registration forms went home with students who have not yet registered on Monday. (8/25/25)
Night Lights is optional and not required. It is only offered to grades 1-5.
