ATTENTION NIGHT LIGHTS PARENTS/GUARDIANS, On Monday, May 5, the Girl Scouts will host a program for girls enrolled in Night Lights on Mondays and Thursdays. The girls who typically attend on Thursdays will join the session on Monday, May 5. Meanwhile, the boys who usually participate on Mondays will switch to Thursday, May 8, but this change is only for the week of May 5-9. So, on Monday, May 5, only 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade girls will attend. On Thursday, May 8, only 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade boys will be present. A note went home today (4/30). Please check with your NL student. If you do not want your child to switch days to participate, please contact the school at 701-854-3341. The Sioux Volleyball team is playing their last game of the season tonight against White Shield here in Cannon Ball. Game time is 4:00pm at Cannon Ball Elementary. Come cheer on the girls for their final game!!!

Today was an exciting day at Cannonball Elementary! We welcomed visitors from Dickinson State University and Gateway to Science for a collaborative STEM Carnival. Our students had a blast participating in hands-on activities that sparked curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. The energy and engagement were incredible to see! A huge thank you to DSU and Gateway to Science for bringing this amazing opportunity to our school. Reminder Cannon Ball Elementary volleyball girls, volleyball players will be picked up before 7 A.M. The bus will depart from Cannon Ball at 7 A.M. First game is at 9 A.M. at the Civic Center in Center.

Pre-K will be going to the Gateway to Science on Monday, April 28th!! We will be leaving the school by 10:00am and returning around 2:30pm.

Reminder - Parent teacher conferences are tonight, Thursday April 24th, 2025 from 4- 7 pm at Solen High School for grades 6-12 and Cannon Ball Elementary for grades PK-05.

High school students received special invitations to prom this week. A reminder that doors open at the high school at 5 pm on Saturday. The grand march will start at 6 pm. The dance will run from 7 pm to 10 pm and students will need to get picked up. We are excited for a fun-filled evening!

Today is Administrative Assistant Day! We would like to give a huge shout out to Lacey and Sherrie for all they do for all of us!!

It's Bus Driver Appreciation Day!! We want to thank our drivers for all they do to get our students to and from school and activities!

Reminder there is no school Friday or Monday due to the Easter break.

Today our elementary students had an egg-citing adventure at Solen High School during a fun-filled Easter egg hunt! We even had a special visit from the Easter Bunny! A huge THANK YOU to the high school staff for organizing the hunt, providing the eggs, and bringing some Easter magic to our district.

High School and Junior High track meets for tomorrow have been cancelled by their hosts due to weather. There will be practice at 1:00.

This week, Mrs. Cutting's 5th grade group finished the novel "Shiloh". On Monday they did a STEM activity building dog houses out of tooth picks and marshmallows. Tuesday, they made "Puppy Chow" for a snack to eat today while watching the movie.

A few important notes: 🐶 Please **leash or bring in your dogs** during this time to ensure the safety of everyone involved. 🚗 If you're driving through the community, please **use extra caution** as our students will be walking along the roads. 🙋‍♀️ We welcome and encourage **volunteers** to join us!
