Today some of our 7-8th grade as well as High School students are helping out with the Christmas Concert over at the Elementary School in Cannonball! If you would like to take your student home with you after the concert, please check them out at the front office before you leave.
Thank you!!
Solen Public School

On Wednesday, December 10th, our students were invited to Wozu to take part in the real-life skinning and butchering of a deer that was harvested for an elder. Experiences like this connect our younger generations to lifelong skills, cultural knowledge, and the importance of food sustainability.
A big Wopida to Wozu for welcoming our students and sharing this learning opportunity. The kids had an amazing time and walked away with memories (and lessons) they won't forget.

Elementary students are working hard rehearsing for their concert. Concert is tomorrow, starting at 1:30!

All after school events are cancelled today. This is due to the forcasted weather and potential road conditions.

HS welding students are to take the bus to school today.
There will be a two hour late start today, Thursday, December 11, 2025 due to icy road conditions..
🎄 **Christmas Concert Update!** 🎶
Good news, everyone! Our Christmas concert has been **tentatively rescheduled for Friday, December 12th at 1:30 PM** due to the no-school day on Tuesday.

Good afternoon Solen Sioux families!!
There have been some questions about whether we will have school tomorrow as well as other activities today and in the coming days.
Tonight's Junior High Girls' Basketball gamer vs New Salem is still on as scheduled. As far as school tomorrow, I will continue to monitor the weather. The safety of students' and staff is always the focus of the decisions being made. A decision regarding school will be made no later than 6 am tomorrow morning. There is a music program scheduled for this Thursday. If the school day is disrupted due to weather, we may look at rescheduling that for a later date.
Once a decision is made, an alert will be sent via phone, text, mobile device app, email as well as on our website, KFYR TV and KLND.
Thank you and stay safe and warm!

We were honored to welcome Dr. Bradley Nelson to Solen High School this week in partnership with Discover Healing! His presentation on his books The Emotion Code and his newly released Heart Code was incredibly engaging and offered meaningful insights for both our students and staff.
Dr. Nelson’s message about healing, emotional wellness, and breaking cycles of trauma strongly resonates with our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from his work and continue supporting approaches that build balance, resilience, and well-being for our students.
Thank you, Dr. Bradley Nelson and Discover Healing, for spending the afternoon with us!
