🏃‍♂️ Huge congrats to Solen High School's Jason Silk! He qualified for the Class B State Cross Country Meet today at the Mandan Kiwanis Invitational for our co-op with the Standing Rock Warriors cross country team. Proud moment!

Just a heads up I will be sending two forms home with your Junior High or High School child today!

~Sports physical form. If your child has not done his/her sports physical for the upcoming sports seasons here is their chance! UND is so kindly coming down to perform free physicals for our Sioux athletes! Please get forms filled out and back to me (Mrs. H) at the front desk ASAP!

~IHS Dental form. IHS will be performing dental screenings for our students. If you would like your child to have this done please fill out the form and return to me ASAP!

There will be an early dismissal on Friday, September 5, 2025. The elementary will dismiss at 12:45 and the junior high/high school will dismiss at 1:00 pm.

Attention families! If you have not turned in a physical form for junior high or high school student-athletes, please turn in to the elementary or high school as soon as possible!

Students and staff at Cannon Ball Elementary started off the school year with a flag song led by Ron LeBeau from WOZU. Thank you, Mr LeBeau, for helping us start our year off in a good way

Happy First Day of School! It was great to see all of the kids back in the buildings today. We are aware that there were some students who missed their bus. Please bare with us as we are adjusting the routes as new students show up to school. Tomorrow, the elementary bus that picks kids up in Solen will arrive at approximately 7:15 am so please be on the look out for the bus.
If your child misses the bus, please call the school and inform us right away.

Here are some back to school safety reminders !

Starting tomorrow, August 20th, the doors to Cannon Ball Elementary School will open at 8 am. The doors to Solen Jr. Sr. High School will open at 8:10 am. Students may not be dropped off before these times. Thank you for your cooperation.

2025 Solen Sioux Volleyball Schedule!

Another new team member to welcome! Mr. Sherwin Malaga will be working with junior high and high school students as a math interventionist. Prior to this year he was a teacher in Lisbon, North Dakota.
We are looking forward to have him on our team this year. Welcome, Mr. Malaga!

Our first day of school is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19th. Please note that there have been some small changes to the bus route assignments. Your child's driver may have changed from last year.
We cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow!
