Mr. Pelkey and Mrs. Weippert took advantage of the late starts, collaborating to combine gym, music and culture.
The convergence of physical activity, music, and culture provides students with not only a fun and engaging experience but also fosters teamwork, creativity, and cultural appreciation. A prime example of this interdisciplinary collaboration is a new game —Sweep the Tipi.
Sweep the Tipi is a dynamic game that blends physical activity with rhythm, creativity, and cultural education. The objective of the game involves students working in teams to "sweep" an imaginary or physical tipi clean of items, combining quick thinking, coordination, and physical agility. What sets this game apart is the unique integration of music: rhythmic beats or songs often accompany the action, allowing students to synchronize their movements with the rhythm, creating a flow of physical and auditory harmony. This collaboration between disciplines is a great way to show students how diverse learning experiences can intersect in meaningful and exciting ways. Sweep the Tipi serves as a fun reminder that learning can be as dynamic and interconnected as the world around us.
Kindergarten read the story Love Monster by Rachel Bright this week. So, today we worked on making Love Monster bags for our Valentine's Day party tomorrow.
We will have a two hour late start tomorrow, February 12, 2025 due to the cold weather.

9th grade students recently spent time at the Bismarck Career Center. Students had the opportunity to learn about graphic design, sports medicine and coding. These are some buttons several students made during the graphic design class.

This morning we were notified that OMR will be repairing water lines in Cannon Ball on Monday, February 10, 2025.
A final decision regarding school will be made on Sunday. However, we are preparing for the elementary school to be in a virtual day on Monday. Our elementary teachers will be sending materials home with students today. The goal is to always have school but sometimes that is just not possible.
An alert will go out Sunday afternoon regarding school on Monday. You can also check our Facebook and school website. If you have not yet done so, please download to the Solen Public School app on your mobile device. Our school app is another way to receive up to date information.

Student Council is putting on a Valentine Gram Sale! Students may purchase during breakfast of lunch. Orders will be delivered Friday February 14th! They WILL deliver to Elementary as well! Deadline for orders is Thursday, February 13th.
